This leads to an interesting question for me. It's always seemed that Dick Cheney was the evil leader of this country, the man in the smokey background who was making all the decisions and Bush was a figurehead. It seems that Cheney and other advisors knew what they were talking about in '94 and nothing has changed. So did Bush have enough force behind him that invading Iraq was inevitable. Were there people who actually supported this? Did they believe that there actually were WMDs in Iraq and just turned out to be wrong? Or is Cheney so out of it that in less than ten years he had a complete change of heart? (We invaded Iraq in what '02/'03?)
