We Are Family

Ok, I can't help myself. For years (really, years) my wife and I have been waiting to get a dog. Not that we've been married for years--it's been more like 4.5 months--but we both had dogs growing up and couldn't wait to get one of our own.

So after many, many hours of meticulous research we found a trustworthy breeder who had a dog we liked and drove up to New Jersey to meet the little fella and see if he might make a good fit for our family. Needless to say we fell head over heels, and below are pictures of the newest addition to the Pinter family: Wilson the puppy (he was so excited to meet us that he pooped and peed on the floor).

Wilson is 10 weeks old, and the breeder wanted to keep him one more week to make sure he got his immunizations and checkups. So this Saturday we will be having a Welcome Wilson party. Wilson's birthday happens to be the day before mine, so I've come to terms with the fact that I'll have to take a backseat for the next few years.

That's a very cute dog. I hope he doesn't smell like New Jersey. Or Dave.

Oh, God, Pinter! Are you going to start writing true romance now? It's like all the testosterone has drained out of you. Pictures of you pet?? I hang my head in shame for you.

...cute puppy though...

Awww! He's adorable!

And it's SO cute you guys waited until after you were married, LOLOL, so he wouldn't be a cute little bastard. ;-)

So, at least educate the masses (who are uninformed). What breed is this dog? And what name are you giving him?

just curious.

Wilson looks like a Shih Tzu to me, and he's very adorable! Great dog to have in a big city, as he won't need much walking, you can take him everywhere (I think they top out at about 10 lbs max), they're loyal, yappy if someone comes near your door or in your back window, and will play with your slippers and toys for years. Who needs kids when you have a dog like this? This will be my next dog after my golden retriever goes to Doggy Heaven. Good Choice, Jason. He can go to book signings with you and you can be guarenteed people will come over to chat. ;)
